1.) Beginning of the music video
will start off with the group of boys complaining about how bored
they are – frequent over the shoulder shots and close-ups to
create a sense of realism throughout – makes the audience feel
immersed. All actors will be dressed in casual teenager clothes.
The boys decide to go shopping and the music eventually starts
when the car drives off. |
Narration 0:00 – 0:20 No music |
2.) Music starts and shots are primarily low angle shots to show the object in which they find. The use of frequent low angle shots are used in order to portray a perspective from the object’s point of view, rather than the characters’. This is the catalytic part of the music video since this is when and where the group of boys become older. |

Alright
Ooh, yeah
I'll
admit, I was wrong, what else can I say, girl?
Can't you blame my head and not my heart? I was drunk, I was gone, that don't make it right, but I promise there were no feelings involved, mmh
She
said, "Boy, tell me honestly
Was it real or just for show?", yeah She said, "Save your apologies Baby, I just gotta know"
How
long has this been goin' on?
You been creepin' 'round on me While you callin' me "baby" How long has this been goin' on? You been actin' so shady (shady) No narration Music starts |
3.) Lots of quick, fast-paced close-up shots, high and low angle shots
during the party montage. The group go back to the house and party
– Darker room but enough lighting to still make the video
engaging and understandable. By using fast-paced shots, this
creates a sense of excitement and energy towards the audience.

She
said "Boy, tell me honestly" (honestly)
"Was it real or just for show?", yeah (real or just for show?) She said, "Save your apologies" (apologies, yeah) "Baby, I just gotta know" |
4.) Cuts to establishing shot of field or street – Another montage of boys doing parkour – frequent close ups for engagement and realism. When the small beat drops, the parkour montage will begin. The beats before the main drop will lead up to them doing such. For example, the part before he says the chorus, shots will cut each time there is a beat. This will be fast paced, however, perhaps not as fast as the partying montage. |

5.) Mini-Montage / Clips of boys stumbling back to the car – moaning
and holding their backs. This is used for comedic effect, thus
appealing to the 16-25 fun-loving audience. However, it also shows
the boys’ recklessness and complete stupidity to party and do
parkour at such a high age (around 80). Shots slow down since
music slows down – music pace reflects characters’ moods. |
2:22 – 2:45 Music slows down No narration |
6.) Boys arrive at house – talk about how they should appreciate being young and making the most out of the time they have at that age. This is the most symbolic part of the music video since it also teaches/implies valuable life lessons. |
Music fades / stops completely Narration of boys talking about wanting to be younger again As boys discuss, they notice that they are now their original age and are happy. END |
