Audience Brief

VAL The audience in which i am targeting fits fairly well with the 'experiencers' VAL. This is due to my music video including scenes of partying and drinking alcohol, thus perhaps fitting with the young generation. This type also tend to get bored easily, which will be represented within the opening of my music video of the group of teenage boys sitting around wondering what to do with their lives. Furthermore, 'experiencers' suits my style of music video since the 'experiencers' are percieved as 'rebellious' and impulsive, which is what will be reflected within my music video due to the group who have aged still doing parkour and partying at around 75 years of age. Once again this goes against the typical stereotypes of an elderly person. YOUNG and RUBICAM The mainstream audience suits my music video conventions and characters. Why did you choose the text you are analysing?  Because I know that Charlie Puth has chilled, catchy songs. The song; How Long by Charlie Puth also appeals to the demographic of fun-loving 16-25 year olds. It will also suit the summer vibe due to its positive, upbeat manor. 2. In what context did you encounter it? I  had searched for Charlie Puth songs since I knew that most of his songs are child-friendly and upbeat.
