Music Video Shot Script

Video Audio 1.) Beginning of the music video will start off with the group of boys complaining about how bored they are – frequent over the shoulder shots and close-ups to create a sense of realism throughout – makes the audience feel immersed. All actors will be dressed in casual teenager clothes. The boys decide to go shopping and the music eventually starts when the car drives off. Narration 0:00 – 0:20 No music 2.) Music starts and shots are primarily low angle shots to show the object in which they find. The use of frequent low angle shots are used in order to portray a perspective from the object’s point of view, rather than the characters’. This is the catalytic part of the music video since this is when and where the group of boys become older. 0:20 – 1:00 Alright Ooh, yeah I'll admit, I was wrong, what else can I say, girl? Can't you blame my ...

Props and Costumes for Music Video

Costume 1 - Fake Beards - These will be used on the characters to portray emphasis on their age. By using fake beards, this will show the contrast between the characters during the beginning of the music video, and the part when they become older. This will also make it easier for the audience to understand what the object/crystal had done to them. If the characters had no props, but rather different clothes, this would make it extremely difficult for the audience to understand what the main narrative of the music video is about. Therefore, props such as the fake beards are very crucial and important to show the contrast between the age and time. Costume 2 - Baggy, old clothes - This is a typical elderly convention. By making the characters wear these types of clothes, this once again puts emphasis on the fact that they have now aged due to picking up the crystal/object. Prop 1  - Glasses, walking stick, etc (mini props) - By using these props, this will make the music vi...

Images of artist / AV content

Plan of Original Images Firstly, my photos will feature both the locations and characters. For example, the first photo will be of one of the character's in one of the locations used within the music video, i.e. a street. The character will be dressed up in the old clothes and posing in a comedic, funny way in order to appeal to the fun-loving audience. Next to this image will be a juxtaposition of the character's age since the picture next to this will be the character when they are young, posing in a funny way. The comparison pictures will feature the same locations in order to show the distinction between the two. Furthermore, I will take a picture of the artist in order to show who is behind the song, music video and website production. The background will be bright and engaging in order to attract and make the picture clear and distinct towards the audience. Also, for my A/V content, behind the scenes pictures will be presented throughout my website within the ...

titles for music video and where the Artist's logo and song title will be

Music video title: James Hugh - How Long The artist's logo will be at the beginning/opening of the music video as well as the title of the music video to immediately inform the audience of what the song is and who the artist is. I will present the title, artist and their logo in a bold, clear font in order to engage and make it clear and visible for the audience to see.

Logo / Brand Icon for Artist

I have created this logo since it appeals to the 16-25 year old fun loving demographic. I have achieves this since i have used bright, engaging colours to immerse and make the audience remember the logo. If i used dull, boring colours, this would make it easy for the audience to forget the logo due to it not being bright, thus not engaging. The size of the logo artist is a large enough size in order for the audience to clearly see the name of it.

Plot-Blocking graph

Synopsis of Music Video: A group of teenage friends are sitting in their lounge, bored as ever, when they decide to go shopping in order to entertain themselves. As they approach the shops, they notice a mysterious-looking object/crystal on the floor. The group go over to the object and one of them decides to pick it up. The group look at him only to realise he's aged 50 years. The group then freak out, but think it'll be funny to join the guy who's just turned older, so they all touch the object. They then go adventuring, partying and doing parkour - introduced through a montage with slow-motion shots, etc. The group then realise they have physical boundaries and have deteriorated through age. Their mindsets then shift into realising that they should've just enjoyed being young and the endless things they could have done when being young. They further appreciate time and that they should cherish the time enjoying things in which they be restricted to do within ...

Audience Brief

VAL The audience in which i am targeting fits fairly well with the 'experiencers' VAL. This is due to my music video including scenes of partying and drinking alcohol, thus perhaps fitting with the young generation. This type also tend to get bored easily, which will be represented within the opening of my music video of the group of teenage boys sitting around wondering what to do with their lives. Furthermore, 'experiencers' suits my style of music video since the 'experiencers' are percieved as 'rebellious' and impulsive, which is what will be reflected within my music video due to the group who have aged still doing parkour and partying at around 75 years of age. Once again this goes against the typical stereotypes of an elderly person. YOUNG and RUBICAM The mainstream audience suits my music video conventions and characters. This is because the mainstream's life choices are 'we' rather than 'me' and this will be shown ...

Statement of Intent - Coursework

Statement of Intent Music Video Within my music video, I am planning to create a narrative video also containing performance and dance in order to appeal to the target demographic of a fun-loving 16-25 target audience. Within my music video, a group of teenage boys are fed up with their boring lives, however, when they go outside they discover a mysterious object. The object suddenly turns them all 50 years older. They then decide to do parkour, drink out of pure excitement, however quickly realise that they have physical boundaries. The main purpose of the music video is for them to realise to appreciate the time they have when they are young and what they are physically still able to enjoy before they get too old. This will potentially take place in a st...
